Contentment in Jesus is being satisfied with the provision of Jesus today with the clear understanding that He will guide and provide tomorrow (Matt. 6:33).
Contentment is achieved through godliness. Godliness is loving God with our total person as evidenced by our obedience to Him (John 14:15,21).
Being on missions in Tchula Mississippi, I am reminded afresh of why contentment in Jesus is better that chasing the dollar and the emptiness of materialism. God gives us material blessings to enjoy and share with others versus chases stuff (I Tim. 6:17-19).
Christians meditate on I Tim. 6:7-8, for a fresh review of life: "For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either.
8 If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content (I Tim. 6:6-7).
