Is Your Heart Completely His?
King Asa, ruled over Judah 41 years. He trusted God completely and God supernaturally intervened when the odds were against him (war against Israel and Ethiopia). Toward the end of his reign, he was strong and decided to trust in his “human strength” verses God to deal with the threat from the nation of Aram, and he got into trouble with God.
This is what what God said: "For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this. Indeed, from now on you will surely have wars" (II Chron. 16:9).
Ask God to check you heart today to see if you are totally dependent on the Him, or if you are depending on your human strength and resources (Psalm 139:23-24). A great prayer to emulate is II Chron. 14:11, cf. II Chron. 13.
