The church in America must fall on her knees and pray for healing and deliverance (II Chron 7:14).
Most Christians in America would agree, but do we agree on praying for all of our leaders, including the President, and for spiritual outcomes versus just economic outcomes?
Look at I Tim. 2:1-2:
1 First of all, then, I urge that entreaties andprayers, petitions andthanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, |
2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. What if American Christians prayed for a more peaceful, godly in what we do, and full of respect for all,America? We would see huge reductions in violence, crimes against humanity, families would stabalize, Christianity in America would clearly reflect New Testament Christianity. As we continue reading I Tim. 2, we discover that the men are to assume the major role in leading the church in prayer ( I Tim. 2:8). Yes!! Godly men, who live holy and do not have things in there lives that hinder our prayers. Pastor, what do we do? Church, we do not need another movement that requires a 501 c 3 tax determination letter, and staff, and budgets, and fund raisers. We simply need to obey God's Word in every church (I Tim. 3:15).
