Are you Voting?
February 3, 2020, marked 150 years since the 15th amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1870, which allowed Black men to vote. After that, three other voting related amendments were made to the constitution, and the Voting Rights Act was passed in 1965, so that all Americans, 18 and above can vote without discriminatory practices.
This Sunday 2/23/2020, at 3:00 pm, Mt. Zion Church of Ontario, is celebrating the enormous progress made in our country, with a view to pursuing future opportunities. Our speaker is Dr. Gilbert Holmes, Dean Emeritus at the University of La Verne College of Law.
Christians, let’s pause to praise God for progress, and trust Him to guide us forward today, and into the future (Prov. 3:5-6).
