The Book of Revelation

The Book of Revelation is encouraging, and challenging at the same time.

The encouragement is God is always in control despite how the enemy seems to keep mess going in the world around us. God has an eternal plan and will vindicate the righteous.  God repeatedly reassures us that our receiving Christ will pay eternal dividends.

We are challenged by the punishment that will come upon the ungodly and unbelieving as described in the book on Revelation, to work harder at leading people to Christ.

We are also challenged to rest in the assurance that we are saved from God's wrath (Rom. 5:9; I Thess. 5:9-11; II Thess.1:6-12).

Despite our varied views on eschatology, we are assured that we are saved from the wrath of God through Christ (Rom 5:9)

For the Christian fear need not grip our soul when reading Revelation, but the blessing promised to everyone who reads and takes heed.

Rev 1:3: Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.

Rev. 22:7: "And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."

God Bless,

Pastor Kennedy (MZO)
